Activities
Horse back riding- In spring and summer and fall canyon trail rides wranglers lead 2 hour and 4 hour horse and mule rides into Bryce amphitheater along a dedicated horse trail and the peek-a-boo trail. Registration for this activity is at the bryce canyon lodge. You are able to get the opportunity to go to the canyon floor. The cost for the 2 hour horse back ride is $40.
full moon hikes- During full moons(1-2 consecutive times each month) the hoodoos take on a spooky personalities from the mix of shadows and moonlight. They offer 1-2 mile moonlight hikes. These hikes descend down into to canyon along steep and rocky trails.
telescope stargazing- Bryce Canyon is the ultimate place to learn about and enjoy the night sky. Far from the light pollution of civilization, and protected by a special force of park rangers and astronomers, Bryce Canyon is the last grand sanctuary of natural darkness. The night sky at Bryce is so dark that you can see 7,500 stars on a moonless night.
biking- With all of the vast a ray of trails and dirt and paved roads you can find something for every level of of bike rider . Bryce canyon is very diverse in its trails and road systems with elevation changes of 7,000 to 9,000 ft. You are able to rent bikes at Rubyy's inn bike rentals. Some tails you can take are Cassidy Trail, Losee canyon Trail, Tropic Reservoir Dirt Road System, Thunder Mountain Trail, and Casto Mountain Trail.
